Only one of them will run on your computer, and that will be the right version. If you are not sure which version applies to your computer, then download both of them and try to run them. Note: You need to run the version compatible with your computer. You can download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST) from one of the following links, and save it to your Desktop (please note that some web browsers will automatically save all downloads in your Downloads folder, so in those cases please move the download to your desktop): If that doesn't help, then a log from FRST would be necessary to see why the EPP driver is still present. Note that you may need to try sc delete epp32 or sc delete epp64 in addition to the sc delete epp mentioned in the instructions if you had an older version of EEK. You can try the instructions at this link to delete the service that executes the EPP driver. One time last Summer I somehow got infected with a difficult to remove, really bad chunk of malware and EEK was a very important part of getting rid of it. What do I do? Now I have no EEK to use to scan and protect my computer. EEK doesn't show up in the list of programs that I could uninstall using the uninstall programs function. That one shows up on my C drive when I open File Manager/Explorer. I can't find a trace of EEK anywhere else, on either drive, other than the EEK folder I'm trying to delete now. One time I had trouble with Windows 10 not being able to load and function, but I was able to get on with Windows 7 and proceeded to figure out what was wrong and fixed it. I don't use the Windows 7, but I don't want to remove it, either. I'm running Windows 10 on my C drive, and have Windows 7 on my D drive. When I check permissions for the eek.sys file, it says all forms of me, I'm the only user, and me as the Administrator, have full permissions to do stuff with this file. Out of desperation, I deleted all the other sub-folders and files within the EEK folder, hoping that would somehow allow me to delete the epp.sys file. But I still get the same error message that it's open and/or being used by some program. I've rebooted twice now, followed the pop-up window directions that said to close all my open programs, when I had none open, and to reboot and then install EEK.

However, I have nothing open that could be using it. I get an error message saying the epp.sys file is being used by/open in another program.
